Installing Apache Tomcat Native on Linux Ubuntu 12.04

Linux: Ubuntu 12.04 x64

First, I tried to install compiled tomcat native library in standard way using apt-get
#sudo apt-get install libtcnative-1

On startup Tomcat version 7.0.39 gave me error that installed version 1.1.22 is not suitable and at least version 1.1.24 is needed.

Then I downloaded sourse files of Tomcat Native version 1.1.27 and compiled into fresh Ubuntu 12.04. Steps used:

#sudo apt-get install make
#sudo apt-get install gcc

2. Install openssl and development libraries

Problem with running iReport on Windows 7 64 bit / Java 64 bit

I installed iReport 5.0.1 on Windows 7 64 bit, JDK is also 64 bit. But, when I tried to launch the program, simply nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled - but without any success.

After some googling I found the fix.

The ireport.conf file under c:\Program Files (x86)\Jaspersoft\iReport-5.0.1\etc\ needs to be modified. Just uncomment and change the jdkhome variable in ireport.conf to point correct JRE 1.7 path.

I modified this file as follows: Read more »
